Job summary

HRB in Bethesda, MD is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and monthly reporting for a portfolio of housing properties, including HUD subsidies, compliance reporting, and regulatory escrows.

You will prepare monthly statements, lead year-end audit activity, support HUD REAC submissions, reconcile escrows, and partner with regional managers to review budget variances and ensure accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of property accounting experience.
• Proficiency with property management systems such as Yardi (Voyager/Affordable) or RealPage/OneSite.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
