Confidential Defense Technology Company in Herndon, VA, onsite five days a week, seeks a hands-on Technical Systems Engineering Manager to orchestrate the integration, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment of advanced hardware/software systems.

You will act as a technical bridge between U.S. customers and an R&D/engineering team, diagnosing issues, performing root-cause analysis, and ensuring readiness for real-world use. Expect travel ~20% with occasional international trips.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with system integration, test, validation, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
• Defense, aerospace, weapons, sensors, electro-optics, RF, radar, robotics, or other complex hardware/software systems experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support technical system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and customer deployment activities
• Act as a key technical bridge between U.S. customers and an R&D/engineering team
• Diagnose system issues, drive root-cause analysis, and help move solutions through resolution
• Support product validation, technical documentation, training, and continuous-improvement efforts
• Coordinate across hardware, software, systems, operations, and customer teams
• Help build scalable technical processes as the organization continues to grow
