Job summary

MANTECH in Washington, D.C. seeks an Expert Hardware Test Engineer to join a hybrid team (1 day onsite, 4 days remote). You will lead test activities across Developmental and Operational programs, ensuring verification, validation, and TRL progress while aligning with DHS standards.

The role requires 12+ years in test and evaluation, hardware testing experience, and a track record in producing senior-leadership briefings. Strong collaboration with mission stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in test and evaluation.
• Experience with hardware systems testing.
• Experience with DHS acquisition policy and DHS systems engineering lifecycle.
• Understanding of DHS Acquisition Management Instruction 102-01.
• Proven ability to develop complex technical reports and briefings for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical authority for the overarching Test and Evaluation strategy.
• Provide high-level consultation on Verification and Validation and TRL planning.
• Support large-scale field testing, demonstrations, and exercises with multi-level security boundaries.
• Architect testing frameworks to validate physics-based fidelity in Modeling and Simulation catalogs.
• Direct junior and intermediate test engineers and provide statistical evidence for tech transition.
• Ensure all deliverables meet DHS S&T quality standards.
• Bridge mission requirements with technical implementation and documentation for procurement decisions.
