Job summary

Maverick Power is seeking a hands-on Product Engineer – Research and Development in Plano, TX. The role combines mechanical and electrical responsibilities to support product development, equipment configuration, and production readiness.

Entry‑ to mid‑level candidates with electrical wiring experience are preferred. The position involves hands-on work in shop and test lab, wiring and assembly tasks, and collaboration with R&D, Product Management, Production, and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering mindset with mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical and mechanical design and configuration of power distribution equipment.
• Assist with component selection, layouts, schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
• Review wiring, protection, grounding, and service access under guidance.
• Maintain drawing libraries and ensure alignment between drawings and BOMs.
• Use SolidWorks PDM and ERP to manage drawings and revisions.
• Document prototype findings and implement approved design changes.
• Prototype assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting in lab/shop environments.
• Travel to Phoenix facilities for builds and testing.
