Job summary

Maverick Power is seeking an enthusiastic R&D Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and test low and medium voltage power systems. You will drive innovative energy solutions, contribute to next-generation technologies, and work hands-on across design, prototyping and testing activities.

This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with 8+ years experience.
• Minimum 5 years in R&D or design of LV and MV power systems.
• Strong background in control system design using SolidWorks Electrical.
• Experience with power electronics, protection systems and control systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with IEEE, IEC, UL, NEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate and develop electrical systems for LV up to 1 kV and MV up to 38 kV.
• Prototype and test power system components to validate performance.
• Conduct research to explore new technologies for efficiency, safety and sustainability.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software and product teams to integrate electrical systems.
• Document specifications, reports and regulatory filings.
• Ensure designs comply with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
