Job summary

National Community Renaissance is seeking a Maintenance Technician in California to support the Community Manager and Resident Services Supervisor. You will handle a wide range of upkeep tasks, from electrical and plumbing to painting and basic carpentry, ensuring safe, clean, and well-maintained properties.

Responsibilities include completing work orders within 24 hours, assisting with inspections, and coordinating with vendors. A valid CA driver’s license is required for field duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in property management maintenance; 2+ years preferred.
• High school education or equivalent completed.
• Ability to read and speak English; Spanish helpful for resident base.
• Valid California driver's license and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all maintenance projects and training classes as directed.
• Perform minor electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, switches and outlets.
• Perform minor plumbing tasks, such as clearing drains and replacing fittings.
• Replace broken tile, screens, fixtures, appliances, blinds and locks.
• Paint interiors and exteriors as directed.
• Assist in custodial work and grounds maintenance; participate in inspections.
