Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant equipment. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and supporting continuous improvement across conveyors, shakers, pumps, and gearboxes.

The candidate may perform fabrication, welding, cutting, grinding, greasing, and other shop duties to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience related to Heavy-Duty Maintenance jobs or equivalent combination of training and experience, preferably in the Aggregates Industry.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
• MSHA compliance knowledge.
• Detail oriented with good time management.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled maintenance on crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, motors, and other plant equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns.
• Maximizes performance of stationary equipment by performing repairs and ensuring preventative maintenance is completed on a timely basis.
• Communicates effectively with supervisors and operations teams regarding equipment status and repair needs.
• Adheres to MSHA safety standards and company policies.
• Trains and coaches other employees on maintenance practices.
