Triumph in Mountain View (relocating to Fremont) seeks an early-career engineer to build, test, and iterate hardware—from day one. You’ll work in the shop and at a desk, combining mechanical design, fabrication, testing, and light software/electronics to make hardware come alive.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience with a degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or adjacent field.
• Solid mechanical fundamentals: statics, materials, tolerancing, and CAD proficiency.
• Comfort with coding; able to write Python or C to read sensors, drive motors, or process test data.
• Shop skills and hands-on approach; comfortable with milling, lathe, 3D printing, or soldering.
• Genuine eagerness to learn and proactive in seeking answers.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies in CAD, from concept through fabrication and test.
• Build, wire, and bring up prototypes; machining, 3D printing, soldering, and assembly.
• Run tests, collect data, and interpret results; iterate based on findings.
• Write scripts and simple control code to support testing and to move hardware.
• Collaborate with other engineers and teams on system integration.
• Document builds to enable handoffs to the next engineer.
• Operate out of the Mountain View warehouse (relocating to Fremont) for testing and maintenance.
