Job summary

Triumph in Mountain View, CA is seeking a senior mechanical engineer who owns systems end to end—from design through test and final release. You’ll set the mechanical architecture direction and work in the warehouse when hardware needs to be run, measured, and fixed.

This role requires 5+ years designing and shipping mechanical hardware, deep CAD and manufacturing fluency, and hands-on testing experience. You’ll join a team that tests, iterates, and maintains hardware in Fremont as it relocates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and shipping mechanical hardware
• Experience owning subsystems through production
• Strong fundamentals in structural analysis and tolerances
• Hands-on testing and fixture development

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design for major subsystems from requirements through release
• Drive design for manufacturability and assembly; weigh cost and lead time tradeoffs with shops/vendors
• Build, instrument, and run test rigs; define measurements and analyze data to drive design changes
• Set standards for CAD practices, part numbering, revision control, and test documentation
• Partner with engineers on system integration across cross-functional teams
• Work from the Fremont, CA warehouse for testing, bring-up, maintenance, and repair of hardware
