Job summary

Aerotek in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring Mechanical Assemblers to support assembly and installation of equipment in a manufacturing setting. This role suits candidates with automotive, farm, construction, trailer, or equipment experience who enjoy hands-on mechanical work.

Responsibilities include installing components with hand and power tools, routing hydraulic hoses, wiring, reading blueprints, troubleshooting, and ensuring quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical assembly experience.
• 6+ months of experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Steel-toed boots required.
• Strong attention to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Install mechanical components and assemblies using hand and power tools.
• Install and route hydraulic hoses and related components.
• Install pneumatic air lines and suspension system components.
• Perform low-voltage electrical wiring and connect lighting systems.
• Assemble and secure parts according to work instructions and specifications.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, and assembly drawings as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues during assembly.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Assist in multiple production areas based on workload needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
