Job summary

Sherman Associates is seeking a Maintenance Technician for West Side Flats in Saint Paul, MN. You will perform general maintenance, respond to work orders within 24 hours, prepare vacated units, and support preventive maintenance alongside a team.

The role requires 1–4 years maintenance experience, a high school diploma or craft apprenticeship, a valid driver’s license, and on-call evening/weekend shifts. Compensation is $25–$27 per hour plus benefits; on-call incentives exist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with craft apprenticeship or equivalent maintenance experience.
• 1–4 years of maintenance or related carpentry/construction experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• Willingness to be on-call and work evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting and landscaping.
• Responds to open work orders and resolves resident requests within 24 hours.
• Prepares and rehabs vacated units within 24 hours; ensures cleaning, painting and repairs are completed.
• Assists in scheduling and completing preventive maintenance for buildings and equipment.
• Maintains exterior grounds and interior common areas in good condition.
• Maintains safety procedures and follows all applicable policies.
