Job summary

RHM Real Estate Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a multi-family property in Columbus, OH. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs, perform inspections, and manage a preventative maintenance schedule.

The role includes responding to resident requests, coordinating with vendors, and assisting in property inspections. Starting pay is $25.00/hr with a comprehensive benefits package and on-site work expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in property maintenance or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and appliances.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols related to maintenance work.
• MUST SUPPLY YOUR OWN TOOLS (building provides some specialty tools).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure safety compliance.
• Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents and coordinate with contractors.
• Monitor cleanliness and safety of common areas.
• Coordinate with management to prioritize tasks and allocate resources.
• Schedule and approve work orders and invoices when applicable.
• Adhere to safety regulations and protocols.
• Assist in vendor relationships and contracted maintenance services.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergencies.
• Complete unit inspections and document repairs.
• Assist during property inspections and prepare reports.
