Job summary

WinnCompanies in Dorchester, MA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor I to oversee property maintenance across 187 units and supervise onsite staff. The role includes coordinating day-to-day operations and ensuring the property meets management objectives.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of maintenance experience, CAMT certification, and strong customer service and communication skills. On-site schedule is typically Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Less than 1 year of supervisory experience.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the maintenance operation at the property on a day-to-day basis as a working supervisor in such areas as appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management activities.
• Complete monthly building and unit inspections to ensure property is maintained to operating standards.
• Review third-party property inspections to resolve maintenance repairs.
• Prepare work schedules for the maintenance team and vendors; maintain the preventive maintenance program; support curb appeal.
• Solicit bids from contractors with approval from Property Manager and Regional Maintenance Manager.
• Participate in on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies.
• Perform hands-on maintenance activity.
