Cogent Analytics is assisting a family-owned repair shop in Aston Township, PA, in hiring a Heavy-Duty Diesel Shop Manager to lead the satellite location. The role requires hands-on leadership, diagnostic oversight, and the ability to optimize service orders and technician workflows.

Qualifications

Valid Class A Driver’s License (Preferred).
Experience in heavy-duty diesel repair and diagnosing complex mechanical/electrical issues.
Leadership or shop management experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck diagnostics including Cummins and PACCAR systems.
Familiarity with OEM diagnostic platforms and Snap-on/JPRO tools.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of the satellite shop with a two-technician team.
Diagnose repair needs and assist technicians with service orders.
Coordinate daily shop schedule and workflow to ensure efficient operations.
Monitor technician productivity and shop performance to meet benchmarks.
Maintain quality control and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
Utilize Cummins and PACCAR diagnostic systems, Snap-on/JPRO, and other required tools.
Manage shop inventory and order special-order parts as needed.
Communicate shop performance and improvements to company leadership.
