Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction safety experience
• 5+ years of safety management or leadership experience
• Current OSHA 510 – Construction Industry standards certification
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR Part 1926)
• Experience managing safety on large-scale construction projects
• Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and craft personnel
• Strong written documentation, organizational, and record-keeping skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment and stay hands-on on site

Responsibilities

• Provide daily, hands-on safety oversight with a visible presence on site
• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions with project leadership
• Review JHAs, AHAs, pre-task plans, permits, and safety docs
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, trainings, and orientations
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and client safety requirements
• Coordinate safety efforts with GC, client reps, subcontractors and safety staff
• Investigate incidents and near misses and assist with root-cause analysis
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation
• Promote stop-work authority when unsafe conditions exist
• Support continuous improvement of safety culture on the project
• Perform other safety-related duties as required
