Job summary

Hodess is seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to provide hands-on safety leadership for construction operations at a project in Chandler, Arizona. You will maintain a strong field presence and work with project teams to promote a safe, compliant, and productive environment.

The role requires 10+ years in construction safety, 5+ years in safety leadership, and active OSHA standards knowledge, with the ability to travel the site, communicate across levels, and drive corrective actions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction safety experience.
• 5+ years of safety management or safety leadership experience.
• Current OSHA 510 – Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR Part 1926).
• Experience managing safety on large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily, hands-on safety oversight and maintain a visible presence on the jobsite.
• Conduct frequent jobsite safety inspections, observations, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Identify hazards and coordinate with leadership to implement corrective actions.
• Review JHAs, AHAs, pre-task plans, permits, and other safety documentation.
• Lead daily toolbox talks, safety meetings, orientations, and training for employees and subcontractors.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA construction standards and site procedures.
• Coordinate with management, GC, client reps, and subcontractors on safety requirements.
