Job summary

School Facility Management (SFM) in Nashville is seeking an experienced, hands-on Facility Manager / Maintenance Technician to oversee day-to-day maintenance and operations of two client facilities in the Nashville area. This role combines hands-on repairs with coordinating vendors, conducting inspections, and ensuring safety and compliance.

You will be the primary SFM representative, delivering reliable service and responsive support to the client and occupants.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of general building maintenance and repair.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, doors, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general building systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Identify problems and coordinate timely repairs; respond to requests and emergencies.
• Maintain safe, clean, functional, and presentable facilities.
• Coordinate vendors/contractors and monitor work quality and safety.
