SFM is seeking an experienced, hands-on Facility Manager / Maintenance Technician to oversee and support the day-to-day maintenance and operations of two facilities for one of our Nashville-area institutional clients.
This is an independent, hands-on position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, performing repairs, managing facility needs, and working directly with a client.
The Facility Manager will serve as the primary SFM representative at the assigned account, ensuring the facilities are safe, functional, well-maintained, and responsive to the needs of the client and its occupants.
This is not a desk-only management position. The successful candidate will spend significant time performing hands-on maintenance and preventive maintenance while also coordinating vendors, responding to client requests, conducting inspections, and communicating with SFM leadership.
This is a full-time, on-site position supporting two facilities in the Nashville area.
The position requires regular walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, working with hand and power tools, and working in mechanical and maintenance areas. The employee may be exposed to varying indoor and outdoor temperatures and must be able to safely perform physical maintenance tasks and lift to 50 pounds.
We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated problem solver who takes ownership of facility conditions and understands that effective facility management means being proactive—not simply responding when something breaks.
If you enjoy hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, working independently, solving problems, and building professional relationships with clients, this may be a great opportunity for you.
