Job summary

SFM Facility Management and Maintenance is seeking an experienced Custodial Supervisor to oversee school custodial operations in the Greater Nashville Area. This hands-on leadership role includes supervising staff, performing cleaning duties, and adjusting schedules to meet school activities and events while maintaining high cleaning standards.

The position requires 2+ years in custodial work with supervisory experience, strong leadership, and reliable timekeeping and safety compliance.

Qualifications

2+ years in custodial or janitorial work, with supervisory experience.
Experience supervising, training, and directing staff.
Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safety procedures.
Ability to manage schedules and staffing across multiple shifts.
Must have valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.
Proficiency with computer-based timekeeping and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

Supervise, train, schedule, and direct custodial employees.
Coordinate staffing coverage across shifts between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend events.
Maintain flexibility to adjust hours for activities, events, and staffing needs.
Perform cleaning duties and assist the team when needed.
Monitor attendance, productivity, schedules, and timesheets.
Ensure cleaning standards, safety requirements, and client expectations are met.
