Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Facilities Supervisor in New York, NY to oversee event setup and teardown, stewarding, and maintenance of the facility. The role requires hands-on supervision of stewards and housemen, with flexibility to manage openings, closings, and on-site operations during events.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of supervisory experience in hospitality, strong organizational skills, familiarity with basic maintenance, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role in food and beverage/hospitality settings.
• Knowledge of basic building repair and maintenance (electrical, plumbing, painting).
• Proficient with computer systems and email; able to use MS Office.
• Strong supervisory and delegation skills; capable of mentoring staff.
• Flexible schedule to meet event-driven needs; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up/breakdown for events from start to finish per plans.
• Oversee ware and event space cleanliness and upkeep during events.
• Supervise house persons; delegate tasks and ensure timely completion.
• Open/close building as needed and follow procedures.
• Assist chefs and manage inventory of china, glass, and silver.
• Maintain kitchen and front/back of house cleanliness and organization.
• Train and onboard new staff; enforce hygiene and safety standards.
• Coordinate with vendors and management; adapt to changes during events.
