Job summary

Great Performances is seeking a dependable Houseman to support daily operations across our hospitality and event spaces in New York. You will handle setup and breakdown of banquet areas, ensure cleanliness and readiness of all venues, and assist with inventory and deliveries while upholding our high presentation standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in hospitality or event operations, with a strong work ethic and ability to lift heavy items.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hospitality, banquets, event operations, or Houseman experience preferred.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
• Basic understanding of kitchen sanitation and safety procedures.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Demonstrates professionalism and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Complete event setup and breakdown according to BEOs and diagrams.
• Arrange and dismantle tables, chairs, and service equipment.
• Ensure spaces are guest-ready before, during, and after events.
• Maintain cleanliness of banquet rooms, hallways, storage areas, and kitchens.
• Follow health regulations and sanitation procedures.
• Receive and inspect deliveries; organize and store inventory.
