Job summary

Manhatta is seeking a Maintenance Personnel for its event spaces and restaurant. The role involves setting up furniture, maintaining cleanliness, and coordinating with kitchen and service teams during events.

This seasonal position offers the chance to work in a landmark venue with potential for longer employment. You will move furniture, perform minor repairs, and ensure a safe work environment for all staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance or similar setting.
• Ability to move and lift objects of 20 lbs or more.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean event space by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Address minor repairs during events (e.g., hanging light bulbs, floor staining, scratches).
• Move and arrange furniture including tables, chairs, couches, and lounge furniture.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure supplies for events.
• Flip rooms between events and prepare spaces for the next event.
• Coordinate with dishwashing to return used CGS to storage.
