Job summary
KingRecruitingServices partners with a Central New York manufacturer to recruit an Embedded Firmware Engineer for its North Syracuse, NY team. The role centers on hands-on embedded C code for microcontroller-based systems used in HVAC/R and industrial applications.
You will design, develop, debug, and maintain firmware across 8-, 16-, and 32-bit MCUs, collaborating with hardware engineers and contributing to new product development and manufacturing support. Relocation assistance is available.
Qualifications
- Hands-on embedded C firmware for microcontroller-based systems is required.
- Strong understanding of MCUs, interrupts, timers, peripherals and hardware interfaces.
- Experience with bare-metal embedded firmware development and debugging.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware using C programming.
- Develop firmware for 8-, 16-, and 32-bit microcontrollers.
- Create control logic for sensors, relays, motors, and other components.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on product development and troubleshooting.
- Debug hardware and firmware with oscilloscopes and lab equipment.
- Participate in new product development, testing, and validation.
- Troubleshoot existing products and support continuous improvement.
- Document code and participate in design reviews for manufacturing.
