Job summary

Pressed Cafe is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Facilities to lead the facilities function across our cafés in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. This working director role combines high-level strategy with direct on-site impact, including troubleshooting equipment, performing repairs, and building a scalable maintenance program.

You will own the facilities budget, partner with Operations, Construction & Development, and Finance, and ensure asset lifecycle management for HVAC,

Qualifications

• 8+ years facilities mgmt exp in multi-unit retail/restaurant
• 3+ years in leadership, managing teams and vendor networks
• Experience budgeting (operating and capex) & presenting to execs
• Deep knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
• Hands-on troubleshooting and ability to work on-site
• Experience reading plans and construction docs
• Willingness to travel between locations; valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Lead facilities function across the café portfolio
• Build and manage facilities team and vendor network
• Own annual operating budget and multi-year capital plan
• Oversee preventive maintenance and energy management
• Ensure health, safety, ADA, and code compliance
• Visit locations weekly and perform hands-on repairs
