Job summary

Garney Construction is seeking a Craft Training Instructor to deliver hands-on training for Field Craft professionals. You will develop and deliver curricula that cover craft techniques, blueprint reading, tool usage, and safety protocols, aligned with NCCER standards and internal programs.

In this role, you will assess learner needs, adapt lessons for diverse audiences, maintain accurate training records, and collaborate with project teams to ensure programs meet workforce development goals.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years of experience in pipefitting, carpentry, pipe laying, cement masonry, or heavy equipment operating at journeyman/tech level.
• Preferred experience in craft instruction or adult education.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus and candidate must maintain a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on training sessions using NCCER and internal curricula.
• Teach technical skills like blueprint reading, tool usage, and construction techniques.
• Incorporate safety principles to foster a safety-first culture.
• Assess trainee performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain trainee records and certifications.
• Coordinate with jobsite management to align training with project needs.
