Job summary
Carlisle Companies is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to design, support, troubleshoot, and continuously improve the plant's automation and process control systems. This role acts as the site’s technical expert for automation, electrical controls, and industrial networking, partnering with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, EH&S, and IT to maximize reliability, safety, quality, and performance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Automation engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years in industrial controls engineering.
- Experience with automated manufacturing equipment in production.
- Experience leading controls-related capital projects from design to startup.
- Strong troubleshooting of electrical and automation systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot complex automation and network issues on the line.
- Design and maintain PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, and control systems.
- Improve plant process control, networks, and data collection.
- Lead automation projects from concept through startup.
- Mentor maintenance staff in PLC troubleshooting and safety practices.
- Prepare project scopes, specs, and capital requests.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA standards.
- Coordinate contractors and vendors during projects.
