Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials is seeking a Controls Technician to maintain and improve the reliability of automated production equipment at the Carlisle plant. You will troubleshoot when performance drops and support preventive maintenance to minimize interruptions.

The role requires strong electrical aptitude, comfort with computers and industrial controls software, and collaboration with maintenance and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and/or technical training relevant to electrical/control systems.
• Industrial maintenance certifications such as PLC/machine logic preferred.
• 5+ years' experience as a controls technician in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooter for electrical/automation issues on their shift.
• Install, config, maintain, or replace industrial control devices (HMIs, VFDs, PLCs).
• Respond to plant downtime events and drive problem solving.
• Support preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
• Assist with new equipment installation and startup.
• Select and procure replacement hardware.
• Calibrate electrical control components as needed.
