Job summary

Carlisle Companies is seeking a Controls Technician at CCM Syntec Carlisle Plant 4 to maintain and improve control system reliability for automated production equipment. You will troubleshoot, install, configure, and maintain HMIs, PLCs, and related devices, supporting downtime reduction and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with technical/industrial certifications (PLC, Machine Logic, etc.)
• Equivalent experience: 5+ years as a control technician in industrial manufacturing
• Military technical specialties considered

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooter for electrical/automation issues on their shift.
• Install, configure, maintain, or replace industrial control devices (HMIs, VFDs, PLCs).
• Respond to significant downtime events and drive problem solving.
• Support preventive/predictive maintenance programs and equipment startups.
• Assist with new equipment installation and commissioning.
• Select and procure replacement hardware as needed.
• Calibrate electrical control components and verify performance.
• Collaborate with controls engineering on projects.
• Evaluate equipment operation and suggest improvements or actions.
• Complete preventive maintenance work orders and document data.
• Maintain electrical control systems for mixers, conveyors, pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Research and update hardware/software information; attend training.
• Comply with OSHA and internal safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
