Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an Assistant General Manager for a respected full-service gastropub and American tavern. The role offers hands-on leadership, focus on polished hospitality, and team development while engaging with guests and staff.

Base salary up to 55k annually with performance bonus potential; medical/dental/vision after 90 days; five days PTO after 90 days; full-time schedule averaging 40-50 hours per week, Wed-Sun.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of restaurant management experience in fine-casual or premium-casual full-service environments.
• Experience leading front-of-house operations and maintaining high hospitality standards.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, spirits, and beverage service.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations and front-of-house service.
• Lead and engage with the team on the floor, maintaining high hospitality standards.
• Handle guest communications and resolve concerns while maintaining guest satisfaction.
• Oversee labor management, scheduling, and inventory control to support financial goals.
• Assist with financial reporting, P&L review, and operational performance improvements.
• Foster a positive team culture through coaching, mentoring, and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen leadership to ensure smooth, efficient service.
• Maintain a visible presence during service shifts, Wednesday through Sunday.
