Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an Assistant General Manager for a high-volume casual dining concept. This role focuses on building strong teams, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and balancing guest satisfaction with strong financial performance.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, coach hourly staff, and drive labor and cost controls while maintaining elevated standards of food quality and service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of restaurant management experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Working knowledge of P&L statements and restaurant financials.
• Experience managing labor, scheduling, and inventory.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Passion for hospitality and team development.
• Ability to multitask and make sound decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations.
• Lead by example and support the team during peak periods.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop hourly employees.
• Create schedules and manage labor to business needs.
• Monitor food quality, service execution, and cleanliness standards.
• Manage inventory, product ordering, and cost-control initiatives.
• Resolve guest concerns and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Support financial goals through effective labor and expense management.
