Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Hand Welder & Fabricator for a 1st shift role in the West Bend, WI area. The position offers up to $24.00/hr starting wage ($49,920/yr base plus overtime) with full health/dental/vision and a 401(k).

A stable, family-owned metal stamping and finishing environment awaits you. Responsibilities include hand welding, finishing, inspection, fixture maintenance, and collaboration with the team to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in hand welding or shop fabrication preferred; training available.
• Strong attendance, punctuality, and safety focus.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new fabrication techniques.
• Must reside within a 45-minute driving radius of West Bend, WI.
• Authorized to work in the United States (U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder).

Responsibilities

• Perform manual hand welding (MIG/TIG/Arc) to join custom metal stampings, fixtures, prototypes, and laser-cut assemblies.
• Finish welds using grinders, sanders, deburring tools, and surface prep.
• Inspect weld quality to ISO standards and customer specs.
• Set up and maintain welding fixtures and workstations; keep 5S organization.
• Support production goals and take advantage of overtime during peak demand.
