Job summary

Ashton North LLC in West Bend, WI is seeking a Hand Welder & Metal Finisher for 1st shift. The role focuses on manual welding, finishing, and preparing metal stampings, dies, and prototypes for production.

The position offers an opportunity to train in welding while supporting high-quality craftsmanship in a family-owned, ISO 9001:2015 facility. Responsibilities include welding, finishing, inspection, fixture maintenance, and collaboration with the welding supervisor and team.

Qualifications

• Experience in hand welding, metal finishing, or shop fabrication preferred (training provided).
• Proven attendance, punctuality, and safety/quality focus.
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with willingness to learn fabrication techniques.

Responsibilities

• Execute hand welding (MIG/TIG/Arc) on custom stampings and fixtures.
• Perform metal finishing and grinding to prep welds and surfaces.
• Inspect weld quality to ISO standards and customer specs.
• Maintain fixtures, jigs, and 5S organization on the shop floor.
• Support production goals with overtime during peak periods.
