Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is assisting a well-established Northwest Indiana health system in recruiting a board-certified or board-eligible Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in the hand. This full-time opportunity allows you to design your practice within a tech-forward environment with AI-assisted documentation and EPIC EMR.

You will treat conditions of the hand, wrist, forearm and elbow, perform complex procedures, supervise a 30-patient clinic daily, and participate in a 1:6 call rotation.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in orthopedic surgery with valid Indiana license eligibility.
• Proficiency in general orthopedic procedures and arthroscopic techniques.
• Experience with EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with clinicians and therapists.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hand, wrist, forearm and elbow care, surgical and non-surgical.
• Clinic cadence: approximately 30 patients per day.
• Participate in 1:6 call rotation.
• Perform complex hand/upper-extremity surgeries (tendon repairs, nerve decompression, fractures).
• Evaluate patients with chronic conditions (arthritis, Dupuytren’s, congenital differences).
• Manage acute upper-extremity trauma including revascularization when needed.
• Apply minimally invasive and arthroscopic approaches for wrist/small joints.
