Job summary

Joseph Michaels International in Hobart, IN is seeking a hands-on Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join a premier, tech-forward team. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with flexible hours and compensation aligned with MGMA guidelines.

You will perform complex hand and upper-extremity surgeries, manage a busy clinic, and work closely with athletic trainers and therapists. Indiana license and board status required; H-1B eligibility considered.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in orthopedic hand surgery.
• Unrestricted Indiana medical license and CSR/DEA registration.
• Experience with EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.
• Proven collaboration with athletic trainers and physical therapists.
• Strong surgical and clinical decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow care (surgical and non-surgical).
• Clinic volume around 30 patients per day.
• Participate in 1:6 call rotation.
• Perform complex hand/upper-extremity surgeries (tendon repairs, nerve decompression, fracture fixation, microvascular).
• Evaluate chronic conditions (arthritis, Dupuytren's) and manage acute upper-extremity trauma.
• Utilize advanced minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques.
