Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Pittsburgh is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide personal care assistance and support individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling and the potential for up to 40 hours per week.

Applicants should have experience working with I/DD individuals or can receive training through the apprentice program. The position includes benefits such as paid clearances, training, and orientation, with a positive and stable work environment.

Qualifications

• One year experience working with I/DD individuals; training available through apprentice program.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming).
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments.
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities.
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation.
• Participate in community integration activities.

Job Responsibilities for DSPs

• You will provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
• You will accompany clients on errands and appointments
• You will spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• You will assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• You will participate in community integration activities

Qualifications for DSPs

• One year experience working with I/DD individuals; If you do not have this experience, training is available through our apprentice program
• High school diploma or equivalent
