Job summary

A leading home health care provider is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Pittsburgh, PA to provide personal care assistance and companionship for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay ranging from $18.00 to $19.00 per hour, and various benefits. Qualifications

• One year experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities or training available.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance such as dressing and grooming.
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments.
• Engage clients in their favorite hobbies and activities.
• Assist with meal preparation and daily tasks.
• Participate in community integration activities.

Job Responsibilities for DSPs

• You will provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
• You will accompany clients on errands and appointments
• You will spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• You will assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• You will participate in community integration activities

Qualifications for DSPs

• One year experience working with I/DD individuals; If you do not have this experience, training is available through our apprentice program
• High school diploma or equivalent
