Job summary

Newport Restaurant Group in Rhode Island is seeking passionate Line Cooks for the 2027 summer season. This seasonal opportunity runs April 1 to December 1, 2027, with housing and transportation assistance where offered.

Positions are located at multiple oceanfront venues including Castle Hill Inn, The Mooring, and 22 Bowen’s. Ideal candidates have prior line cook experience, are capable of standing long hours, and can lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of line cook experience.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and move 25-50 pounds.
• Be collaborative, using a team approach to creating an equitable workplace environment and have respectful working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, and cook soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items to restaurant standards.
• Make sure food orders are fulfilled promptly and correctly, checking the status of orders as they move through service.
• Assist in final dish preparation, upholding our standards for quality, speed, and presentation.
• Clean and maintain your workstation, cooking equipment, tools, and utensils.
• Work closely with your team to keep service running smoothly.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

No two days are exactly the same, but here’s the heart of the role:

You’ll report directly to the Executive Chef at your assigned restaurant.

• 22 Bowen’s – Premier steak and seafood restaurant on Bowen’s Wharf
• Celeste – Southern European-inspired cuisine in Narragansett
• Boat House – Coastal New England dining with bay views in Tiverton
