Job summary

Planet Fitness Hayward is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in delivering a high‑quality Judgement Free guest experience. You will lead a team, oversee front desk operations, manage inventory, and contribute to reporting and club performance.

The role requires at least 1 year of management experience, CPR certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days, and a strong focus on customer service and leadership. This position is on site at the Hayward club.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and development of staff.
• Support staff scheduling and performance management for coverage.
• Ensure superior customer service by all staff.
• Resolve staff or member concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist front desk operations: member sign-ups, check-ins, and inquiries.
• Oversee facility cleanliness and maintenance; report deficiencies.
• Manage club inventory and orders within budget.
• Track key metrics and assist with weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
• Provide shift coverage and operational support during absences.
• Take full management responsibilities one weekend per month.
• Maintain dependable attendance.
