Job summary

Gold’s Gym in Round Rock, TX seeks a Front Desk Team Member to warmly greet members, guests, and staff, manage front door security, and handle a variety of administrative duties as directed by the General Manager. This role serves as the first point of contact and aims to create a welcoming guest experience.

You will assist with member check-ins, registration, and inquiries about gym operations. The position involves retail sales, class check-ins via app, and occasional light cleaning or walking

Qualifications

• Friendly, welcoming demeanor and strong customer service.
• Ability to explain gym policies and answer inquiries.
• Proficient in check-in procedures and member registration.
• Comfortable handling phone calls and messages.
• Able to operate retail sales and basic POS.

Responsibilities

• Greet each member and guest promptly to create a positive entrance and departure.
• Provide security and control to the front door and retail area.
• Check-in members using proper procedures.
• Monitor check-ins and notify management of delinquent accounts.
• Register guests into the gym using proper procedures.
• Direct guests to the appropriate personal trainer when needed.
• Answer guest calls professionally and take messages for management.
• Respond to member requests, inquiries, and concerns.
• Maintain neat appearance and wear uniform with nametag.
• Distribute keys, towels and other materials as needed.
• Process retail and concession sales; assist stocking.
• Attend staff meetings and follow company standards.
• Log maintenance concerns and report safety issues.
• Notify management of incidents requiring reports.
• Work as scheduled and follow attendance policies.
• Assist with membership sales and sign-ups at kiosks.
• Assign new members with barcodes, photos, and scheduling complimentary sessions.
• Handle member account changes (payments, freezes, cancellations).
• Assist with receiving orders and checking in retail/concession products.
• Assist members with class registrations via app.
• Other duties as assigned.
