Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a General Manager to oversee gym operations, ensure a positive member experience, and drive financial success at a busy club. You will lead a team, manage daily schedules, and uphold brand standards in a fast-paced fitness environment.

The role requires hiring and training staff, supervising front desk activities, coordinating promotions, ordering supplies, and maintaining a welcoming, clean club that reflects the Judgement Free Zone® ethos.

Qualifications

• Honesty and good work ethic.
• At least 1 year of equivalent managerial experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills; Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, schedule and supervise team members.
• Oversee member service to ensure a great customer experience.
• Manage front desk tasks: greetings, tours, service issues, etc.
• Support for staff and club members.
• Maintain a positive image for the club.
• Coach and counsel performance to meet standards.
• Ensure prompt opening/closing of gym.
• Train staff on current promotions.
• Complete onboarding for new hires in Paycom.
• Ensure club open and staffed during all hours.
