Job summary

Zifo is seeking a Lab Computing Analyst in Texas with role-based duties at client sites. You will support laboratory computing environments and instrument-integrated PCs, ensure security, and align with client policies.

Ideally, you bring 3+ years of Windows, networking, remote computing and backup experience, plus strong customer service and communication skills. This role emphasizes compliance, validation, and coordination with field engineers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS, life sciences, or related field
• 3+ years of technical experience including Windows, networking, remote computing and backups
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experience with laboratory safety practices
• Experience with virtual machine support (preferred)
• Experience with scientific instrumentation (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support of customer laboratory environments, typically for computers integrated with instrumentation
• Manage lab computing aspects of installing new, retirement and relocation of equipment
• Implement Windows based security
• Ensure adherence to client’s corporate policies through periodic reporting and compliance programs
• Act as the technical support contact for field service engineers and external vendors
• Provide technical subject matter expertise for new system validation and change management efforts
• Document procedures, policies, troubleshooting and best practices
• Create and maintain a physical inventory of lab equipment, PCs, software, and related information
• Perform system preventative maintenance based on client’s schedule
