Job summary

Zifo is seeking a Lab Computing Analyst to provide technical lab computing services at client sites across Texas. The role requires hands-on support for instrument-connected PCs, security implementations, and adherence to client policies.

You will collaborate with field engineers and vendors to deliver validated solutions. Qualified candidates have a BS in CS or life sciences and 3+ years’ experience with Windows, networks, remote computing, and backups.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in computer science, life science or equivalent industry experience.
3+ years of relevant technical experience including Windows technologies, networking, remote computing and backup systems.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to interpret client requests.
Ability to troubleshoot complex instrument and technology issues; strong oral and written communication.
Knowledge of laboratory safety practices as defined by the company and customer site safety codes.
Experience with virtual machine support (preferred) and with scientific instrumentation (preferred).

Responsibilities

Provide technical support of customer laboratory environments, including computers integrated with instrumentation.
Manage lab computing aspects of installing, retiring, and relocating equipment.
Implement Windows-based security and ensure compliance with client policies.
Serve as technical contact for field service engineers and external vendors.
Document procedures, troubleshooting steps and best practices.
Create and maintain inventory of lab equipment, PCs and software.
Perform system preventative maintenance per client schedule.
