Tulsa Scheels is seeking Gun Customer Service associates to create a welcoming environment by greeting customers and accurately processing transactions while following all ATF guidelines. This role requires employees to be at least 21 years of age due to firearms compliance.

As an employee-owner, Scheels emphasizes ownership, teamwork, and delivering a WOW customer experience. The position includes firearm background checks and compliance duties within a full-service sporting goods retailer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 months cashiering experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old for firearms processing.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers with a smile when entering and exiting the store.
• Engage in conversation to provide personalized service and support the digital receipt program.
• Accurately scan every item to ensure proper ringing and payment before customer leaves.
• Promote the Scheels Visa card and clearly explain its benefits.
• Process firearm purchases and complete background checks.
• Assist with Gun Room housekeeping and ensure ATF laws are followed.
• End each transaction with a courteous 'thank you'.
