Job summary

Scheels All Sports, Inc. in Sparks, NV seeks a Gun Customer Service Associate to greet customers, process transactions, and ensure compliance with ATF laws. Responsibilities include firearm background checks, returns for firearm purchases, and promoting Scheels Visa.

A high school diploma or GED and cashiering experience are preferred. This role emphasizes safety, service, and a welcoming shopping experience.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), and/or 1-3 months of cashiering experience.
Greet customers with a smile, engage in conversation, and provide personalized service while supporting the digital receipt program.
Ability to accurately scan items and ensure proper ringing and payment before checkout.
Adhere to all ATF federal laws and guidelines when processing firearm transactions.

Responsibilities

Greet all customers with a smile when entering and exiting the store
Enhance the customer experience by engaging in conversation while providing personalized service and meeting digital receipt program goals
Accurately scan every item, ensuring proper ringing and payment before the customer leaves
Promote Scheels Visa and explain benefits
Process returns and exchanges for firearm purchases
Complete firearm background checks
Ability to execute technology-based processes for firearm transactions
All other duties as assigned
