Job summary

The Westshore Grand, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Tampa, FL is seeking a part-time Front Office Agent to assist guests with arrival and departure, handle check-in/check-out, and promote hotel services.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, inputting data, processing payments, answering calls, and resolving complaints with a focus on customer satisfaction. Hotel experience is preferred, and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to perform moderately complex calculations with a calculator.
• Ability to deal effectively with internal and external customers with diplomacy.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the front office and perform essential functions.
• Ability to input information accurately using a moderately complex computer system.
• Ability to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; adapt communication style as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and sincere welcome and provide accurate information about hours and local attractions.
• Complete registration by inputting and retrieving guest information and confirming details.
• Promote HEI Hotels and Resorts and brand marketing programs.
• Assign rooms based on guest needs and code electronic keys; provide welcome folders with keys and coupons.
• Verify and imprint credit cards, handle payments, and post charges to rooms and accounts.
• Answer phones promptly and relay messages to guests; manage mail and packages as requested.
• Process check-out and resolve guest concerns, negotiating as needed to ensure satisfaction.
• Remain calm during busy periods and emergencies; comply with attendance rules and perform other duties as assigned.
