Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in Miami Beach is seeking a Guest Service Agent to handle registration, check-out, PBX operations, and guest correspondence while delivering outstanding service. You will act as an advocate for the hotel and craft personal guest experiences, developing relationships that encourage guests to return.

A high school diploma, front desk or customer-facing experience, and the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous Front Desk or customer-facing experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable about local area, services, attractions, and events.
• Flexible schedule; able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Work well under pressure with many arrivals and departures.
• Familiar with hotel systems and accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Register and check-out guests; PBX operations; mail and message handling.
• Act as an advocate for the hotel and create personal guest experiences.
• Develop relationships with guests to encourage repeat visits.
• Review arrivals noting special requests and block rooms as needed.
• Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner.
• Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, with complete and accurate information.
• Complete all shift checklists (AM, PM, Overnight).
• Pre-assign rooms, including VIPs, repeat guests, packages, and special requests.
• Follow established key control policy and proper credit policies.
• Submit lost & found articles with reports.
• Open, secure, and balance daily shift cash and payments.
• Verify credit limit reports.
• Monitor room availability and yield management status.
• Attend department meetings monthly.
• Communicate with Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet.
