Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants invites a friendly Guest Service Agent to register and check-out guests, manage PBX operations, mail and message service, while delivering outstanding service to our guests.

You will be an advocate for the hotel, create ridiculously personal experiences, and build relationships that encourage guests to return. A high school diploma or GED is required, front desk experience is preferred, and you should be flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous Front Desk or customer-facing experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable about local area, services, attractions, and events.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work well under pressure with many arrivals and departures.
• Familiar with hotel systems and accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Review arrivals noting special requests, blocking rooms as needed.
• Check in and out hotel guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Answer all phone calls promptly with complete information.
• Complete all items on shift checklists (AM, PM, Overnight).
• Pre-assign rooms, including VIPs, repeat guests, and special requests.
• Follow established key control policy.
• Ensure proper credit policies are followed.
• Submit lost & found articles with a completed report.
• Open, secure, and balance daily shift bank.
• Verify credit limit reports.
• Monitor room availability throughout the day.
• Review daily selling status using yield management system.
• Attend department meetings monthly.
• Communicate with Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet.
