Job summary

Sonesta Hotels International Corporation is seeking a Guest Service Agent/Night Audit (Finance) to deliver exceptional service at the front desk and support the Operations Manager during shifts. You will be the first point of contact for guests, manage reservations, and handle financial transactions with accuracy.

The role requires fluency in English, basic math for cash handling, and interest in advance customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of previous hotel experience or retail customer service is preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages are beneficial.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math, budgeting, and profit/loss concepts are preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on Sonesta Service standards in all guest interactions.
• Register guests, issue room keys, answer phones, and provide hotel information.
• Process cash and credit card transactions following procedures; manage deposits and reports.
• Maintain security of cash, transactions, and guest information.
• Routinely book reservations, manage cancellations, and upsell rooms when possible.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategy and coordinate with shifts and management.
• Support shoppe and bar service while ensuring compliance with alcohol laws.
• Fulfill guest requests and manage delivery of services.
• Operate guest safes and comply with health, safety, and alcohol regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
