Job summary

Sonesta Hotels International Corporation is seeking a Guest Services Agent to warmly welcome guests at the front desk, handle check-ins/check-outs, and manage guest inquiries with accuracy and care.

You will process reservations and payments, coordinate with team members, and promote Sonesta hospitality standards during shifts. The role requires flexibility for mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays and a commitment to quality service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of previous hotel experience or retail customer service preferred.
• Background in the extended stay industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances preferred.
• Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
• ServSafe certification may be required.
• TIPS certification may be required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and flexible schedule including mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services.
• Answer phones promptly and courteously.
• Process cash and card transactions and prepare deposit and reports.
• Maintain security of cash, transactions, and guest information.
• Routinely book reservations and handle cancellations or updates.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategies and upsell rooms when possible.
• Coordinate with shifts and management to ensure quality service.
• Assist with shoppe and beverage service in compliance with laws.
