Job summary

Sonesta Hotels International Corporation seeks a Guest Services Agent to deliver Sonesta Service across front desk interactions and guest relations. You will be the first point of contact, handling reservations, check-ins, and inquiries while representing the brand with professionalism.

Your role includes cashiering, upselling where appropriate, and coordinating with shifts to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations throughout your shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of hotel experience or retail customer service preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Mathematical skills including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances preferred.
• Problem solving, organizational and training abilities preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
• ServSafe certification may be required.
• TIPS certification may be required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
• Must work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room location.
• Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Process cash and credit card transactions securely and prepare deposits and reports.
• Maintain security of cash, credit card transactions, and guest information.
• May book reservations for individuals/groups and upsell rooms to maximize revenue.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategy and pricing guidance from management.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through coordination with other shifts.
• Service the shoppe and pour while ensuring compliance with local alcohol laws.
• Fulfill guest special requests and ensure delivery of services.
• Issue, control and release guest safe-deposit boxes.
• Comply with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
